Genesis 8:21-22
[21] The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. [22] “As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Noah had just come out of the ark after 371 days of flood waters and stepped out to a land wiped clean for him to start afresh with God. His sacrifice invoked the promise of God never to curse the ground, and seasons would happen according to His timelines.
The sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross for mankind’s salvation is the ultimate pleasing aroma to the Lord. Every life, destiny, marriage, family, land, inheritance, child, generation, work, etc, that accepts and receives salvation by this sacrifice is guaranteed the promise that comes with it for us.
PRAYER: Father, in the Name of Jesus, by the blood of Jesus that speaks for us, we enter the places of promise that you have determined for us before the beginning of time, that we shall not waste the blessing upon our redeemed lives, marriages, families, children, generations, work, visions etc Amen.
