Jeremiah 6:16 _Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it!
Rest and peace of mind are things that many are willing to pay for, some really expensively. The world has provided all forms of rest and peace of mind options to use for relationships, raising a family, in marriage, in running businesses, making decisions; none are free, and yet they do not give the desired rest or peace of mind.
The Lord invites us to consider His option for rest and peace of mind; God’s way, who is Jesus the way, truth, and life. Jesus further gave us an open everlasting invitation to this option of rest in Matthew 11:28- 30.
We have to deliberately make the choice daily to choose His offer of rest because all things have been entrusted and deposited in Him. All wisdom on how to live is in Jesus. It is free, the price was already fully paid!
PRAYER: Father, in the Name of Jesus, may our eyes be opened to discern the free gift of rest and peace that is available to us. May we live, move, exist, make decisions, nurture and steward what you have entrusted us with from this place of rest, Amen.
